This historic guest ranch is one of the original homesteads in the Madison Valley. For years it was a working ranch for sheep and cattle. Homer Hutton started a sawmill, built a home, barn and sheds in 1877. A one room school house was built 1/4 mile from the ranch. After a cloudburst in 1890 Homer graded the road down the hill to Jack Creek. It is still known as the “Hutton Grade”. In 1934, the Old Hutton Place became a dude ranch. The Bry family added 3 log cabins and a main lodge, successfully running the business for 17 years. The current owners have operated the T Lazy B as a guest ranch since 1978, recently making it available for vacation rental.
The dry cabins are next to Jack Creek and sleep 10. The modern bath house is a short walk from the cabins. With private creek access this ranch is ideal for friends and family who love to fish, gather and relax. Wifi is available in the living room of the main lodge. Cell service is spotty at best, making this space perfect for reconnecting with your friends and family. Spend the days fishing and hiking and the evenings playing games, telling stories and gazing at more stars than you’ve ever seen before. The giant yard is perfect for a family reunion. The Main lodge has a kitchen with a large prep area, a propane commercial range, microwave, refrigerator and freezer. The living room has a wood burning fireplace. The dining room has a grand table with seating for 10. The bedroom has a full-size bed with a private entrance. The lodge has one bathroom that has a stand-up shower.
Cabin One has 1 queen, 1 full and 2 twin beds.
Cabin Two has 1 queen and 2 full beds.
Cabin Three has 1 queen and 1 twin bed with a walk-in closet.
All cabins have heat and electricity.
The bath house has two matching bathrooms with walk in showers, a central sink area and a washer and dryer for your use. There is a large deck off the back overlooking the creek.
This ranch is completely private. Located 11 miles from Ennis on a well maintained dirt road. Most people never get to experience this kind of peace and quiet. When you book this property, it is yours exclusively. The owners live in the ranch house on property and are available for questions and tales of fish or history. The T-Lazy-B is close to Madison river, Ennis lake, various trails for hiking, with private Jack creek fishing access.
