Private river access is provided from the rear of the property which looks down on the Madison River. This two story home has a nice yard and a garage, an indoor wood fireplace and an outdoor deck and fire pit. It can comfortably accommodate 7 people.
Not only does the Madison River provide wonderful fishing, it also is a mecca for bird and wildlife watching. Elk, deer, antelope and bighorn sheep are commonly seen in the area. Bald and golden eagles, osprey, owls, sandhill cranes and blue herons, to name just a few, are also quite common. The western towns of Ennis and West Yellowstone are each an easy 35 mile drive away. Ennis is a thriving destination tourist town that is known for its friendly atmosphere and excellent fly fishing. It is home to a beautiful new hospital, library and high school and a challenging nine hole par-36 golf course. For those hoping to play more than one golf course, there are 5 other golf courses within 45 miles of Ennis. Drive South of Eagle’s Vista 35 miles and you come to the rustic town of West Yellowstone and the West entrance to Yellowstone National Park. West Yellowstone is also known for its excellent proximity to world class fly fishing and hunting. It has many shops and restaurants as well as the Playmill Theater which brings college students from around the United States to perform broadway plays during the summer. Eagle’s Vista is only minutes away from Wade, Cliff, Hebgen, Quake and Lake. There is great hiking in the nearby Lee Metcalf Wilderness and on National forest and BLM land.
